INTERNATIONAL-BIG-ONE-MEETING

I am just starting a new thread, to avoid a mixture of different topics in one thread ...

for our italien and french friends sake, we should try to write in english language.

... hey, Fans der SUPERFOURs ...

    hey, fans of SUPERFOURs
Baumbart-Ferndando vom `italienschen CB1300-TEAM` informierte uns von der Idee, ein >INTERNATIONAL-BIG-ONE-MEETING< zu veranstalten.

Treebeard-Fernando from the `Italien CB1300-TEAM` informed us about the idea, to organize an >INTERNATIONAL-BIG-ONE-MEETING<.

At the forum on the french site we can discuss "if, who, where, when, how ..." something like that could/should/or have to happen.

Perhaps some of you (or all?) have an opinion of, a comment on, or any suggestions how to handle this "venture"?

First suggestion of sebmaster (admin of the french forum) is ... Switzerland (land of state-sponsored highwaymen  )

I would prefer to hire a kind of race track for such an event ... somebodey knows about something like that, which is located in the "middle-within-easy-reach-for-all"?

The X4´s had something for their meeting 2003, but it was Welzow, between Berlin and Dresden ... too far away.

In my opinion a kind of >Joe´s Bar< would be fantastic too ... perhaps there is "Joe´s Bar" in France?

however ... let´ s have a little discussion about it ... if you want to have

... here, or directly at the french site.
I will inform our good friend ED PUT from the netherlands "De CB1000 Club Nederland" ... (konni will take on the translation :) )

Linus

    hey joe, you´re right.

but, there is nothiing more than a first idae, a first discussion. there is no hand to leave it in.

but talking about it, trying, what´ s possoble (a mega-big-event, a few nice contacts and perhaps some particular visits at the diferent "national" meetings) ... in that kind it could start.

my reaction on "switzerland" was allergic ... reflex ... rashly.

    (nice reactions in france)

    Hello Linus,
a translation from german in dutch is possible, of course!

    :P
    But i didn´t got a mail... ?(
By the way, the idea to get a european meeting is great...switzerland not so, either we go on trailer with my truck, so the 80km/h is not so boring ;)
A nice racetrack is also very good idea...but i think it would be to expencive to hire such a circuit, didn´t it?
I´ll also favour to france, what about the vosges?
Maybee we meet also the real "eddi"

Or if we will get a real racetrack, what´s about

    the "Circuit Anneau du Rhin"
Has anybody some conections through that? That would be great!

    Kind Regards,
    K 8) NNI

    constructionally. fine.

    --------------------

  • quotation out of the french forum:
1.: i don´ t want to make it faster, as it should go. (perhaps it is only because, i had organized the last two yearly meetings in germany)
2.: like i understand it, there is still nobody, who declared to organize it (or is there anything more, sebmaster?)
3.: if there is somebody or something ... naturally, i would not work against it. i would support it.
4.: i think it is just a discussion, a kind of brainstorming.
5.: if one of the first results will be, that there are some new connenctions between french, italien, dutch, german and other european big-o(w)ners, it would be a very good (first) step. (not that kind of connection, you are thinking of, raf ) perhaps there will be any visitation of the different "national" meetings ...
6.: if there should be a european meeting (perhaps in 2005, or 2006, or 2007), because there are enough interested members in all these internet-organizations ... super.
    7.: no panic ...
8.: to make a constructional suggestion: what´ s about something like the "L'Anneau du Rhin - Circuit de Blitzheim". the "alsace" is nearly "in the middle", there a very nice roads, nice landscape and ... it is france.

(just an idea! nothing more!) anybody knows something about it, or other places like that?
9.: ok ok ... I am already quiet now.
    what do you mean ???.
    Linus.

  • Hallo Linuns and at all,

I also want to suggest the same race track as Konni did, in the case we need a TRACK in FRANCE!! We have the super Vosges with it´s nice corners (rappel) there!

And what Konni means it is surely not cheap to rent this circuit. But we have to consider where we can accommodate such a lot of BIGGIES. And that takes a lot of time to find the right location. If I remember me correctly, you have agreed to organize the INTERNATIONAL BIGGIE MEETING

next year. So dear Linus don´t hesitate and ?grap in the spokes? (wie der Engländer zu sagen pflegt).

    See you

    HOBO

By the way, I forgot, I saw two years ago "Joe´s Bar" in a town in the Sea Alps, think I.

    Es lebe die 18!

    loud pipes saves live

  • hai HOBOhorst,
so let´ s have a little sea-alps-trip to look for "joes BAR" ... we could meet titi there ...
perhaps the date for the big-meeting will be in 2006 ... because, we still have to organize "the who, why and how" ... before the "when, where, and why not" :D
if there are enough biggies interessted in such a meeting ... it will happen ... whenever, whereever ... however ...
    ciao. Linus.

Just to see how others do the organisation

  • Hey, how nice! Everybody's writing in English! Can we carry on? But the discussions 'bout the strange bavarians and their behaviour would lose a lot in translation?
But we could start an new thread in English for writing about beer!
By the way: beer unites almost the whole mankind, bet?
So far for an all european meeting! I'm looking forward for the first one! And I do hope, that there's no gig to play music so I could take part!

  • Hi all, hi Linus...how is it going with hte int'l big1 organisations? :D

However I think that for 2k5 every national group will be focused on "local" meetings, in primis the french, an so on...
In any case, as you know, I'm spreading in our forum the superfours treffen date, and we included it in our proposal for 2k5 event calendar. Maybe we'll find some superfourers ready to ride to Edertal :)
In advance I'd light to inform german superfourer about an event we are planning, the cb1300 Timmelsjoch Treffen, that will take place (hopefully) on July 23rd, based in Passeiertal (Tirol, italian side) and up to the pass (2509 mt., with a beautiful landscape and a great road on the austrain side). If any of you would like to join...let us know...
Last, we ended a "restyling" of our website...take a look :D
    http://cb1300.altervista.org

  • hmm seems the forum doesn't recognize my nick... ?(

nice weather at the pass eh....

    :D

  • ciao treebeard,
    nice to "read" you.
yes ... it wouldn´ t be easy to organize the international-meeting.
    but ... it could happen.

first there are the national meetings, which has to be prepared too.

after that ... and perhaps during a little meeting in france (alsace), or timmelsjoch :D ... it will be much more easier ... if we´ll become acquainted personally.
your "new" site? super(four)! even with sound :D

forum, technique-part, pictures (*) of the meetings, maps of the tours, press, the texts, links (with the cb.1300-link too), shirt, ... very nice !!!

    (*) the "mechanic"-one of you:

and a picture of the whole group ...

this is something, which will never happen at our meetings in germany. :D
at our site the new webmaster joe had built (and is still building) up a lot of features too (http://www.cb1300.de/link: cb.1300.de) superfours too. :D
and the invitation? thanx ... please, send us another "memory" for the "timmelsjoch-meeting" ... we´ ll see (i just note the date!)
salute :D (hope we´ ll see us). Linus.

september 2003 we were at the timmelsjoch too.

this is a photo from the "jauffenpass", where we had our nice little "hotel" ...

... very nice trip, very nice time

  • Yes, Jaufenpass too offers wonderful landscapes...
However, coming back to 2005, it should be confirmed July 23rd for the cb1300team meeting.

In addition, on our website I included a page dedicated to the superfourstreffen in Germany!
    bye!

[Editiert durch arthur ein Samstag, Mai 7, 2005 @ 17:52]

  • hai arthur ...
    let´ s have the SUPERFOURsTREFFEN2005 in june ... first.
after that ... let´ get on to discuss the "european meeting" ... ok?
in "our forum here" there are a few members interested.

what´ s about you and your members in the netherlands?
after we have "checked" the number of the really interested members "on each site", we can discuss the place ... the location ...
perhaps you could join ed, ted, wil and mikel and visit our german meeting, so we could diskuss the european meeting.
    greetings. Linus.
